Dr. Margarita Suárez, professor of the History section of our department and director of the PhD in History PUCP, has been appointed project evaluator by two major research agencies in Europe.

For me," says Suárez, "it means an enormous recognition of my own research career and that of the PUCP, since this status is only achieved when the European bodies consider that your level of research is of excellence.

The AEI (Agencia Estatal de Investigación) of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation is responsible for the promotion of scientific and technical research in all areas of knowledge in Spain. On the other hand, the European Science Foundation is dedicated to supporting scientific decision-making in Europe through a range of scientific support services, such as grant evaluation, career monitoring, coordination of EU-funded projects, and hosting of scientific platforms and expert councils.

We congratulate Dr. Suarez on these important appointments.
