The Department of Humanities is currently in charge of three study and research centers: the Center for Philosophical Studies (CEF), the Center for Oriental Studies (CEO) and the Center for Research in Applied Geography (CIGA). They promote research in their respective fields and organize various teaching, research and academic activities.
The purpose of the Center for Oriental Studies is to develop study, research, dissemination and training activities in areas related to oriental cultures, with a view to training specialists in them.

The Center for Research in Applied Geography (CIGA) was created in May 1984 in response to a triple need: to consolidate and disseminate a new methodology in geography (systemic approach), to generate greater and more accurate information and knowledge of the national space, and to value geographic research for the regional and local development of our country.
