From January 2023, together with Dr. Jessica Budds of the University of Bonn (Germany), Dr. Martha Bell will serve as co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Latin American Geography. "I am proud to be involved with an independent journal with such a long and important history. I also find it very special that for the first time the journal will be edited by two women."
The journal, published by CLAG - Conference of Latin American Geography, publishes geographic and interdisciplinary research on Latin America and the Caribbean. Proceeds from the journal are used to support scholarships for students.
"I have been contributing to the Journal of Latin American Geography as an associate editor for several years," says Professor Bell. "As co-editor I would like to work on maintaining the high quality of the journal, on attracting authors from diverse countries and specializations within the discipline of Geography, and on continuing to disseminate the journal to larger and larger audiences."
We congratulate Dr. Martha Bell and wish her every success in this new role.
